We are not neutral

Neutrality does not exist; it is nothing but an illusion. This was the assertion of the authors of this article at the very interesting seminar/workshop, “Translation is not neutral, nor is the translator. Incorporating transfeminist perspectives in translation,” organized by EIZIE and led by Danele Sarriugarte Mochales and Aiora Jaka Irizar. Taking the title of the workshop as a starting point, the conclusion was that there are different conceptions of translation and interpretation that are gradually taking root and demonstrating that it is time to reflect and rethink certain aspects of this profession.
