Foreword
We have great pleasure in presenting a fresh issue of the journal Senez, covering the sixth edition of The Writer in the Translators' Workshop, organised by EIZIE (Association of Translators, Correctors and Interpreters in the Basque Language) in September 2009. Karlos Linazasoro was this year's guest writer. Following a report on the workshop by the organisers (Antolatzaileen hitzak), this issue goes on to offer a sample of the author's work: eleven short stories in four languages (in the original Basque, plus the translations of them into Spanish, French and English). We have also included a short piece by Karlos Linazasoro himself reflecting on his intense experience among the translators. Finally, Manu Lopez Gaseni and Itziar Otegi, the leaders of the workshop, report on how the group sessions developed (both only in Basque).
