World Poetry Notebooks: the story of a decade. An interview with Beñat Sarasola and Maialen Berasategi
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the World Poetry Notebooks collection, the author of this article met with former director Beñat Sarasola and current co-director Maialen Berasategi (the other co-director is Isabel Etxeberria) to gather information for her end-of-degree project on Basque poetry in translation and on this collection. The two interviewees discussed the evolution and nature of the collection in free conversation interspersed with anecdotes and reflections. The aim of the interview was to gather information and it was not originally intended to be published as an article. However, thanks to the topics discussed in the conversation, we saw that it would be possible to create a complete and unified narrative of the history of the collection and decided to publish the interview.
