Luis Baraiazarra Txertudi (1940-2024), in memoriam
Luis Baraiazarra, Aita Luis, was a teacher, aficionado of Basque ad-lib verse, writer, translator and member of the Royal Academy of the Basque Language. He always intertwined his work with his life as a friar and with his love of all things Basque, and although he was not a translator by profession, he left us with memorable translations. He passed away in 2024 and this article written in tribute to him by Mari Eli Ituarte presents some highlights of his career.
