Basque interpreters in action: a chronicle
The years 2023 and 2024 were eventful for all interpreters in general, but especially for Basque cabin interpreters. Therefore, the interpreters who are members of the Association of Translators, Correctors and Interpreters of the Basque Language (Euskal Itzultzaile, Zuzentzaile eta Interpreteen Elkartea, EIZIE) have started to deal with the challenges they face in a united way. The purpose of this article is to briefly describe the path taken so far and to give some pointers for future steps.
