Basque translation online: the faces behind the screen
Summary
The purpose of this article is to familiarize readers with websites that publish literary texts translated into Basque online. It presents a qualitative analysis based on interviews with the managers of four websites currently in operation and of another two that operated for several years. The aim of the project is to examine where, how and why the creators behind these projects work: what their working conditions and motivations are, what shortcomings they have noticed, etc. Thus, based on the situation of each and the connections among them, this article aims to draw a general picture of the sector.
