Sight translation from Basque into Spanish: a pilot study on the beginner-expert paradigm
Abstract
This article presents a pilot study on the beginner-expert paradigm in the field of sight translation. For this purpose, six specific aspects of sight translation from Basque into Spanish carried out by beginners and experts (reading speed, production speed, omissions, additions, errors, and pauses) were compared, though without evaluation. However, the main purpose of the study was simply to identify differences between beginners and experts with respect to the measured parameters.
