Translators and poets working shoulder to shoulder to translate Catalan poetry into Basque: reflections on and fruits of a seminar
Abstract
From the 4th to the 7th of February, 2017, a seminar was held in which a group of Basque translators and poets met with two Catalan poets to work shoulder to shoulder on the translation into Basque of poetry written in Catalan. The experiences of the seminar are brought to these pages through the chronicles and reflections of two of the seminar participants, Gràcia Jiménez, and translator Joannes Jauregi. A compilation of the poems translated in the seminar is also included for the reader's pleasure.
