About the translation into Russian of a poem by G. Aresti
Abstract
In this article, the author analyses two Russian translations of the poem Nire aitaren etxea defendituko dut (I shall defend my father’s house), by Gabriel Aresti. One of them is by Y. Zitsar and the other one by Roberto Serrano and Roman Ignatiev. Based on the results of this analysis, the author suggests a third possible translation of the poem, considering the techniques of literary translation.
