Translating Kafka as a first experience in literary translation

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to report on my first experience in literary translation and how I dealt with it.
Before beginning a translation, it is essential to learn the biographical details of the author in order to know when and under what circumstances the work was created and thus to better understand it. When translating, it is best to be prudent in using translations of the same work into other languages as references. And finally, there is the process of revision and correction, which is a lesson in itself for the translator.
Undoubtedly, the most important lesson for me was having both the responsibility and the ability to translate Kafka; it was an incredibly enriching experience for me.
