Translation and Dubbing in Galicia

Galician television (TVG, Televisión de Galicia) was created in 1985 for the purpose of promoting and standardizing the use of the Galician language and, through its foreign works department, became the first entity to translate primarily for dubbing foreign audiovisual material into our language. But in Galician as in all other languages, this job, this type of task, entails a number of specific difficulties that anyone who wishes to work in this field would do well to become acquainted with and internalize before starting down this path.
