Approaches to translation (I). Some recipes
Abstract
This article describes some of the contributions of Professor Peter Newmark in his book Approaches to Translation. An attempt is made to adapt some of his suggestions to the specific case of translations into Basque, although, as this is a first approach, the article limits itself to an assessment of the possible lines of research. It should be mentioned, however, that the main aim is not to make an exhaustive study, but to disseminate the research carried out by the above-mentioned author.
