A few disjointed notes
Abstract
When San Sebastian 2016 gave him carte blanche, Anjel Lertxundi brought together six authors and translators in San Sebastian to ponder literature in non-hegemonic languages and its future in a cultural context strongly influenced by globalization. The project was called Demagun ehun urte barru, and in it the problem of translation took precedence. Furthermore, some Basque writers of renown – Lertxundi himself, Bernardo Atxaga, Ibon Sarasola – have recently underlined the importance of translation. The author of the article presents her own reflections.
