From salad to Basquification

Abstract

The author explains that he did not have the luck of (also) being a Basque speaker in his distant childhood, remembering the process of his insertion into Basque society, after requesting authorization to land there; the granting of a license is not usually free, as anyone who has learned Basque rather than acquired it knows all too well. The language brings us together, unites us, but also divides us into first- and second-class speakers.

To close the article, help is requested to publish a work that does not yet exist, a vocabulary that refers to meals, something so unattainable for Basque, even though in the West we practice it three times a day.
