New Translators
Itzultzaile Berriak (New Translators) is the project that the DSS2016EU Foundation and the Etxepare Basque Institute launched in 2015 with the aim of promoting Basque literature abroad.
In 2016, eight translators were selected to participate in the project, and EIZIE organized several activities and meetings during their stay in the Basque Country. In the following three years, EIZIE representatives participated in other initiatives organized in the countries of three of them (Slovenia, Bulgaria and Poland).
In 2021, after an interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was resumed in the framework of Saison Québec - Pays Basque 2020-2021.
