MULTILIZER 6.1 improves the support for TRADOS Translation Memory

"We are aware of the need for sharing terminology coming from UI and documentation translation; since year 2000 we have for example supported TMX - Translation Memory Exchange - format for this purpose", says Erik Lindberg, Multilizer product specialist. "As TRADOS has been the most popular tool for document translation in [Multilizer] localization projects, we decided to improve the usability of this tool in Multilizer projects."
With the improved support for TRADOS, Multilizer will offer in its upcoming release even more choices for storing and re-using translations.
1) Multilizer single-user Translation Memory is available in every Multilizer installation. This local, single-user translation memory is based on embedded database shipping with Multilizer. Fuzzy matching and Translation Memory management tools are available at no extra cost. 2) Multilizer multi-user Translation Memory is available in Multilizer Enterprise version. This translation memory is installed on customer's database server, such as Oracle® or SQL Server. This robust and extremely scalable translation memory solution enables the entire team to share and re-use the translations. Fuzzy matching and Translation Memory management tools are available at no extra cost. 3) TRADOS support from within Multilizer will be available for those that have TRADOS installed on their computer. Using TRADOS from Multilizer enables additional consistency of terminology in projects where both software user interfaces and documentation are translated.
