Support for Euskaldunon Egunkaria

The direction board of EIZIE, the Association of Basque Translators, Interpreters, and Correctors, would hereby like to make it known to our members and to all those visiting this website that we consider the closure of the newspaper Euskaldunon Egunkaria to be a grave act both for the Basque language itself and for Basque culture. We also hereby call for the paper to be allowed to resume publishing as soon as possible and we would especially like to express our solidarity for all the workers at the paper who have been affected by said closure.
