Eurodicautom under threat

Rumour has it that Eurodicautom, the European Commissions multilingual term bank, will be discontinued next March. So, the International Federation of Translators has assumed some actions to ask to clarify the policy that the Commission intends to follow regarding public access to Eurodicautom. You can sign up a petition the European authorities to uphold public access to the Eurodicautom database and to confirm the free access to it. Furthermore, you can read the letter sent by Jean-Marie Vande Walle, chair of the terminology committee of the IFT, to Michel Vanden Abeele, director-general of the translation service of the European Commission.
